Starting earlier means ending earlier as well. In fact, our part of the parade ended at least a few hours before we typically stepped off in recent years past. No worry. Tom had the usual unofficial gigs planned for after the parade. So, I believe all were tired and hungry as evening fell, though I doubt at that point, that many were thirsty.
